ALUMNI BASKETBALL GAME

WELCH — Mount View High School will host an alumni basketball game at 6 p.m. Saturday, October 28, on Ergie Smith Court at the Castle. The game will be played in memory of the late Barbara Spencer Hairston and the late Rev. Andrew Montgomery, both former beloved educators from Mount View. Admission to the alumni basketball game is $2.00 and concessions will be sold.

CHEERLEADING CLINIC

BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Bluefield College cheerleading squad will host a Little Rams Cheer Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 28, featuring instruction from collegiate cheerleaders and concluding with a halftime performance during a BC Rams football game. Under the direction of BC cheerleading coach Sara Goodson, the clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Dome Gymnasium. Participants will learn sideline cheers, stunts, jumps and dances, and will also cheer on the sidelines during the first quarter of the BC Rams football game against Union in the home finale that night at Mitchell Stadium. The cost of the clinic is $25, which includes clinic instruction, a Ram cheerleading t-shirt, and free admission to the BC football game. Participants are encouraged to register in advance.
