The PikeView volleyball team traveled down the New River and swept Narrows in three games Monday evening, 25-22, 25-16, 25-23.

Danielle Compton had seven kills, two aces and two blocks for PikeView. Jordan Conner had eight kills and five blocks. Julie Lombardo had three aces and two kills. Lena Hayworth had five kills. Holly Mack provided 20 assists.

For Narrows, Lauren Kellison had a serving percentage of 100 percent with one ace, 59 sets and 15 assists. Savanna Burton was 13-for-13 in serves, with three aces, 30 receptions, six digs, 13 kills and four solo blocks. Sydney Fields had 13 hits and four kills. Claire Reece had 12 sets and two assists. Neileen Shoemaker had 10 receptions and two digs. Amanda Hagerman had 15 serves, three aces, 17 receptions and three kills. Cara Ganoe had 11 serves, four aces and 18 receptions.

PikeView (29-3) travels to Bluefield today and hosts Montcalm on Thursday. The Thursday match in Gardner will be a “Digging for a Cure” evening to promote cancer awareness. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
