Funeral services for Richlands football and basketball standout Devon Johnson will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, at Southwest Virginia Community College’s Community Center Gymnasium at 1 p.m.

 Visitation hours for friends and family will be on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SWCC. Interment will follow at Hartwell Cemetery in Hartwell, W.Va.

 A three-year starter at Richlands, who later starred at Marshall and was signed as a free agent by the Carolina Panthers, Johnson died in Bluefield on Tuesday at age 25.

Among those scheduled to speak at Johnson’s service are Marshall football coach Doc Holliday and Richlands football coach Greg Mance, along with Rev. Craig Barber and Kevin McGlothlin.
