HUNTINGTON — Concord concluded its men’s soccer season with a 4-1 loss to Marshall on Saturday afternoon.

Bluefield’s Ian Lovern was one of four goal scorers for Marshall, scoring his first collegiate goal for the Herd. Ryan Forde, who transferred to Marshall from Concord prior to this season, also scored in the win.

"It was a good game for us,” said Marshall head coach Bob Gray, in a press release. “Concord was feisty and they played hard and made us move the ball around, we made a lot of offensive chances and overall I'm pleased.”

Concord (2-11-1), which was playing its final match of the season, got its lone goal from Huntington native Maximillian Simpson.

Marshall (7-8-3) will participate in the Conference USA tournament this week in Norfolk, Va.
