BLUEFIELD, Va. — Ray C. Honaker, 94, 0f 411 Lynn St., Bluefield, Va., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Bluefield and was a son of the late Charles Daniel Honaker and Esther Dooley Honaker.

He was retired from National Electric Coil Co. after over 50 years of service and attended church at the Memorial Baptist Church. He was a member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge 1079.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith King; grandchildren, David Wayne Honaker and Lewis Carl Honaker. He was also preceded by brothers, Fred, Walt and Earl Honaker; and by sisters, Ethel Cochran and Jessie Mae Shrader.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Hopkins Honaker; sons, Buck Honaker of Monroe, La., Skip Honaker and wife, Kathleen of Bluefield, Va., Jack Honaker and wife, Brenda of Bluefield, Va.; daughters, Jeannie Lafon of Suffolk, Va., Anita Benoit of Suffolk, Va.; brother, Bill Honaker of Peoria, Ariz.; sister, Mable Painter of Maryland; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with the Rev. David Plott officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until hour of services at the Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va.
