A pedestrian was killed on I-77 at Exit 9 in Princeton Monday night.
West Virginia State Trooper D.R. Kincaid said a female was hit while walking in the southbound lanes.
“She came out into the lanes of traffic and was struck by a semi,” he said.
No identification has yet been released or the reasons why she may have been walking on the interstate.
Kincaid said the incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
“As for right now, we are not releasing any further information,” he said. “It is still under investigation
