Is there a special memory from a past Christmas you would like to share? The Bluefield Daily Telegraph is now accepting submissions of such memories for a special feature to be published on Christmas Day.

Whether heartwarming or funny, we are seeking special recollections to showcase the rich heritage and history of southern West Virginia and Southwest Virginia — and we welcome submissions from residents and former residents of the cities, towns and communities across this region.

Submissions should be no longer than one to two paragraphs in length (longer submissions may be edited), and may be submitted by any of the following methods:

q By e-mail, to (please include “Holiday Memory” in the subject line)

q By mail — send to Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Attn: Holiday Memories, P.O. Box 1599, Bluefield, WV, 24701

q By fax — send to (304) 327-6171 (to the attention of “Holiday Memories”)

q Or dropped off at the Daily Telegraph office, 928 Bluefield Ave., Bluefield (across the street from Hardees)

All submissions must be signed, include the writer’s hometown and former hometown (if now living out of the area), and a telephone number for more information if needed (not for publication).

All submissions must be received at the Daily Telegraph office no later than 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21.
