Gas prices down 9 cents in W.Va.

CHARLESTON —  West Virginia motorists are seeing lower prices at the gas pump for the July 4th holiday.

The Triple A’s weekly fuel gauge reports a 9-cent decrease in the price per gallon of gas since last week. The statewide average is $3.46 a gallon.

That’s lower than the national average of nearly $3.48.

The auto club says the statewide average is nine cents cheaper than the same week a year ago.

In West Virginia, pump prices range from a low of about $3.33 in Bridgeport to a high of more than $3.58 in Martinsburg.
