MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Transcripts of a secret plea hearing show a teenager involved in the 2012 stabbing death of a Star City girl planned the slaying with an accomplice. But their motive remains unclear.

Sixteen-year-old Rachel Shoaf pleaded guilty to second-degree murder May 1 in Monongalia County Circuit Court. Authorities have a second juvenile in custody but have not released her name or the charges she faces.

Prosecutor Marcia Ashdown tells the Dominion Post (http://bit.ly/p51XcK) that will happen only if her case moves to adult court.

Sixteen-year-old Skylar Neese's remains were found in January in Wayne Township, Pa., about 30 miles from her home.

Prosecutors plan to recommend a 20-year sentence for Shoaf. They indicate they will oppose any move to have her sentenced as a juvenile.

Details of the crime remain scant.
