Truck overturns, spills 4 tons of coal in Logan

Associated Press

LOGAN — Logan police have cited a truck driver after his vehicle overturned and spilled 4 tons of coal.

Police tell WCHS-TV that the accident occurred around 4 a.m. Wednesday at the intersections of Route 73 and Route 44.

The driver was cited for failing to maintain control of the truck.

Police say a front loader is being used to remove the coal. But some of it will have to be picked up by hand.

The road has been closed.
