An Elkins man faces charges of forcing his young children to smoke marijuana.
Twenty-eight-year-old Timothy Wayne Hedrick is charged with child neglect creating risk of injury. He’s being held at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $25,000 bond.
The Inter-Mountai reports that Hedrick’s 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter told a state Child Protective Services worker that their father forced them to smoke marijuana. The worker notified the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
Police found a homemade bong and other drug paraphernalia during a search of Hedrick’s apartment.
The children are in state custody.
