Yvonne Michelle Wilson - Joshua Robert Miller

— — Yvonne Michelle Wilson and Joshua Robert Miller, both of Princeton, W.Va., exchanged wedding vows on March 31, 2012 in a formal candlelight ceremony at the First Church of God, Mahood Avenue, Princeton, W.Va. The 1 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Larry Hagerman. A candle was lit in the memory of Beulah Wills, great-grandmother of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Kim Gentry and the granddaughter of Patricia Wilson, both of Princeton, W.Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Wilson of Woodstock Va. Adopted grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Shumate, Princeton, W.Va. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis “Nick” Miller of Princeton, W.Va, and the grandson of Pam Collins of Anawalt W.Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Miller of Springville, Va.

The bride, escorted by her cousin, Ray Robinson of St. Petersburg, Fla., and given in marriage by her family, wore a white taffeta gown. The bodice featured lace flowers embellished with pearls and sequins and a yoke closure in the back with seed pearls and a semi cathedral train with lace, embellished with pearls and sequins. The bride’s veil was made and worn by her grandmother and her mother. She carried a satin evening bag with a bouquet of purple and lime green roses.

The attendants, wore dresses of their choice in the bride’s colors of purple and lime green, and each carried evening bags with bouquets to match the bride’s. Serving the bride as maid of honor was Bernice White. Bridesmaids were Kayla Gentry and Jessica Thompson, sisters of the bride, and Annabelle Heradon and Danielle Williams. Flower girls were Gracie Roberts, cousin of the bride, of Greenfield, Ind., and Cadi Moore of Princeton, W.Va.

Serving as best man was Curtis “Nick” Miller, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Chris Miller, brother of the groom, and Johnny Miller, uncle of the groom, home from Kuwait, Gary Shrader and Robbie Harris. Serving the groom as ring bearer was Ryan Harris.

The couple received congratulations at the reception in their honor in the church fellowship hall. Serving at the reception were Mrs. Bonnie Bailey of Anderson, Ind., aunt of the bride; Maggie Robinson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ruth Roberts, of Greenfield, Ind., both cousins of the bride; Sonya Shrewsbury and Deborah Woods. Serving at the guest book was Michelle Asbury. Megan Miller, sister-in-law of the groom, assisted with the wedding. Photographer Stuart Wilson, uncle of the bride, was assisted by Mrs. Betty Graham, and Matthew Harvey. Wedding music was provided by Mrs. Norma Cook.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller are both graduates of Princeton Senior High School. Mrs. Miller is employed by Lifeline Childcare, Princeton, W.Va. Mr. Miller is employed by Thistle Foundry, Bluefield, Va.

After a honeymoon to the Smokey Mountains the couple will reside in Lee’s Mobile Home Park, Princeton, W.Va.
