Sara Nicole Wimmer and Zachary Taylor King were wed the 23rd of June (2007) in a double-ring ceremony at First Baptist Church in Bluefield.
The bride is the daughter of Wallace and Kimberly Wimmer of Bluefield, Va. She is the granddaughter of Marie Wimmer.
The bridegroom is the son of Casey King and Lynn King of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Bluefield. He is the grandson of Leonard and Mel Nester and Tom King.
The bride, escorted by her father, was attired in a white satin halter-style A-line gown with an embroidered and beaded bodice, skirt and chapel-length train. Her veil was fingertip length with white pencil-edge trim, embroidery and crystal flowers. The tiara contained a floral configuration. She carried a bouquet of two dozen pink roses.
The bride was attended by maid of honor Jennifer Wimmer of Bluefield, Va., and bridesmaids Manzi Arnold of Bluefield, Va., and Crystal Anderson of Durham, N.C. The maid of honor wore a chocolate charmeuse A-line dress with empire waist, chiffon halter with a cascading back. The bridesmaids wore aqua strapless satin A-line dresses with cascading backs. Each carried a bouquet of pink roses. Flower girl was Briana Neal.
The bridegroom was attended by best man Sam King of Myrtle Beach. Groomsmen were Jarrod Price and Justin Price of Eckman. Ringbearer was Matthew Sarver of Bluefield, Va. Ushers were Greg Wimmer and Sam King.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Bluefield Area Arts Center.
Music was provided by Lori Stacy.
Assisting with the wedding/reception were Eva Coleman and Mary Gaspersich.
The bride is attending Bluefield State College and plans to obtain a doctorate of pharmacy.
The bridegroom is serving in the United States Air Force (active duty).
The couple will honeymoon at Gatlinburg, Tenn.
The couple will reside at Wright-Patterson AFB in Fairborn, Ohio.
