Tractor-trailer crash in Va. kills 80 hogs

SUFFOLK, Va. — Eighty hogs were killed after a tractor trailer hauling the animals crashed in Suffolk.

The truck crash Friday on Route 10 also took down power lines and temporarily closed the road.

WAVY Radio reports that the truck was hauling about 180 hogs.

The driver of the truck, Antonio Marquez of Goldsboro, N.C., was not injured but was charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain control.
