ROANOKE, Va. — A former Franklin County sheriff’s deputy is scheduled to enter a plea in the fatal shooting of his ex-wife.

The Roanoke Times reports that Jonathan Agee is set to enter a guilty plea Friday in Roanoke in the Memorial Day 2011 slaying of Jennifer Agee. He is also scheduled to plead to other offenses, according to court records.

Agee had been scheduled to stand trial Jan. 22 on charges of first-degree murder, illegal use of a firearm and three counts of shooting at an occupied vehicle.

Agee is accused of shooting a Virginia State Police officer in the leg. He is facing charges related to that shooting in Montgomery County.
