Police search for boy abducted in Spotsylvania

SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. — Police are searching for a boy who was abducted by a man driving a blue work van in Spotsylvania County.

According to media reports, a witness told police she saw the van pull up next to the boy Thursday afternoon. She said a man got and pulled the boy against his will into the van and speed off.

The boy is described as 12 to 13 years old with light brown hair. He was wearing a red and white striped shirt with blue cargo pants.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man in his mid-20s or 30s, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, and about 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a black tank top and dirty black cargo painter’s pants. The van has a primer spot on the back.
