Sen. Mark Warner names campaign staff

RICHMOND, Va. — Democratic Sen. Mark Warner is announcing key campaign staffers as he readies a re-election bid.

Warner announced Wednesday that Eva Teig Hardy, a retired vice president of Dominion Resources, will chair his campaign.

Trey Nix will be Warner’s campaign manager. Nix recently ran Aneesh Chopra’s unsuccessful bid to be Virginia’s lieutenant governor last year.

Other Warner campaign staffers include digital director David Stroup, political director Keyanna Conner and press secretary David Turner.

A former governor, Warner was first elected to the Senate in 2008.

His presumptive GOP challenger is Ed Gillespie, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee.
