Services set for 10-year-old Va. shooting victim

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Services are set in Charlottesville for a 10-year-old Crozet girl who was shot to death this week.

Teague Funeral Home of Charlottesville says on its website that services for Margaret Louise “Maggie” Hollifield will be held Friday night at Covenant Church.

The website says she is the daughter of Paul and Anne Hollifield. Paul Hollifield is the pastor of Commonwealth Christian Community church in Crozet, formerly known as Victory Hill Church of God.

The website says the girl died at her home, but Albemarle County police have declined to disclose details. Police say a boy fatally shot the girl Tuesday.

Albemarle County Police spokeswoman Carter Johnson said the investigation is ongoing.
