ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (AP) — An Isle of Wight judge has ordered a psychological evaluation to determine whether a man accused of killing his father and stepmother is competent to stand trial.

The Daily Press ( ) reports that Circuit Court Judge Carl Eason Jr. granted a defense motion seeking the evaluation on Wednesday.

Joseph Charles "Jay" Joyner Jr. is accused of killing 62-year-old Joe Joyner Sr. and 58-year-old Sandra Joyner. His next court hearing is set for Feb. 13.
