Va. man gets 76-year sentence for triple slaying

STANARDSVILLE, Va — A man convicted of killing three people in Greene County has been sentenced to 76 years in prison.

The sentence was recommended by the jury that convicted 28-year-old Taybronne Alteriek White. Jurors found White guilty last October of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder and other charges.

WVIR-TV reports that Greene County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Bouton followed the jury's recommendation in sentencing White on Wednesday. Bouton said he believed that White poses a danger to others.

White was convicted of fatally shooting 26-year-old Lisa Hwang, 25-year-old Dustin Knighton and 26-year-old Brian Robert Daniels during a botched home invasion in May 2011. The victims' bodies were found on a roadside outside Stanardsville.
