Man dies after being hit by train in Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO, Va. —  A man is dead after he was hit by a CSX train in Waynesboro.

Waynesboro police tell media outlets that the accident occurred around 12:20 a.m. Thursday.

The victim appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s.

Police say the body will be sent to the Department of Forensics in Roanoke for an autopsy and identification.
