— MAJOR LEAGUE BUS TRIP

PRINCETON — There are still seats available for the Princeton Rays-sponsored Major League bus trip to PNC Park in Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the New York Mets on July 13. The cost is $100 per person and includes all transportation fees, game ticket, and a fireworks show after the game. HALL OF FAME INDUCTION

TAZEWELL, Va. — The Tazewell High School Hall of Fame, Inc., will induct five new members on July 27 at Tazewell High School. The inductees are Robert Marrs, Jack Hawks, James (Jim) Peery, Don Dunford and Don Lee. The banquet will begin at 5 p.m. A portion of the receipts will go toward an endowment scholarship for future THS students. A total of $73,000 out of the goal of $100,000 has been raised by the hall of fame committee. Tickets for the induction ceremony are $30 apiece or $250 for a reserved table of eight. BASEBALL CAMPS

ATHENS — Concord University will host a trio of baseball camps this summer, including a youth skills camp on June 24-27 and a pair of baseball showcase camps on June 28 and July 26. The youth camp is for children, age 6-13, from 9 a.m.-noon each day for $100, and will focus on professional instruction and individual and group drills. The showcase camps are players, 14 years to junior college level, with advanced instruction and evaluation by the Concord coaching staff. BLUEFIELD — Bluefield State head women’s basketball coach J.J. HINTON — The Summers County Lady Bobcats Basketball Camp will be held on June 24–28 at Summers County High School. The camp will be divided into two sessions, with girls, grades 2-6, running from 8:30 a.m.-noon, with girls, grades 7-9, following from 12:30-4 p.m. The cost is $50, with T-shirts and various prizes to be awarded. ATHENS — The Concord University women’s basketball program will be hosting the Lady Lion Instructional Basketball Camp July 14-16. The camp is under the direction of Concord head coach Kenny Osborne, the WVIAC Coach of the Year in 2003 and 2012. The camp for girls ages 8-18 costs $200 for residential campers and $170 for commuters, which includes meals. ATHENS — The Concord University men’s basketball program will host an instructional basketball camp for boys, ages 8-18, on July 17-20 at the Carter Center. The camp will feature thorough instruction on the fundamentals of basketball as well as team play (up to eight players on a team) according to age and individual experience level. Attendees have the option to commute or stay in dorms. The cost is $220 for resident campers, or $180 for commuters. Campers should arrive on July 17 at noon, with registration running until 1 p.m., with the first camp session starting at 2.
