Police say homeless man spent two years living at expensive hotels in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. —  A homeless man is now under arrest in Florida for scamming his way into several ritzy hotels near Walt Disney World.

David Price, a drifter living in Florida, was arrested Friday and is presently being held at the Orange County Jail in Orlando, according to MSNBC.com. Price has been homeless for two years but managed to keep living the high life, sneaking into rooms at hotels including the Ritz Carlton, Hard Rock Hotel and Lowes Portofino Bay.

Officers said Price would sneak into the room after guests left then call the desk pretending to be the room’s occupants and asking to extend his stay. During his stay in one room, Price racked up almost $9,000 in charges on the credit card of an Ohio man who thought he had checked out of the room. Price used the credit cards of the people he was impersonating to buy items such as wine, room service, clothes and food at local restaurants.
