HUNTINGTON —  A McDowell County man who claimed he was rabbit hunting from his vehicle Saturday afternoon on a road off of U.S. Route 52, in Landgraff, was arrested on a charge of DUI, according to state police.

Michael Crouse, 39, of Landgraff, was found “passed out in the middle of the road,” at about 12:30 p.m., according to Trooper C.A. Dunn of the Welch Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.

“Myself and Trooper B.D. Gillespie approached Mr. Crouse, woke him up, and asked him what he was doing in the middle of the road,” Dunn said. “He said that he was rabbit hunting.”
