PRINCETON — • Bobby Ray Burgess, 48, of 540 Pleasant Valley Drive, Princeton, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell was in charge of arrangements.

• Gracie Mae Burlison, age 3, of Princeton, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Tazewell Community Hospital. Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.

•  Sidney Ollin Clark Sr., 59, of Matoaka, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.

• Hazel “Kathleen” Coon, 83, of Thornton Avenue, Princeton, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at her residence surrounded by family. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.

• Dennis Dale Dinkins, 56, of 121 Union Drive in Princeton, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at his residence. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements

•  Mavis Sylvia Dyer, 73, of Princeton, formerly of Akeley, Minn., died on Nov. 10, 2011 at the Bower Hospice House in Beckley, W.Va. Cease Funeral Home of Park Rapids, Minn, was in charge of arrangements.

•  Barney Lee Farmer, 50, of Matoaka, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 in Welch.  Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.

• Geneva Zando Fiery, 90, of GlenWood Retirement Village, formerly of the Old Bluefield-Princeton Road, Princeton, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at her residence. Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton, was in charge of arrangements.

•  Ronald N. Johnson, 65, of Princeton, passed away at his residence on Nov. 24, 2011. Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton, was in charge of arrangements.

• Judy Lynn Lawson, 56, of Princeton, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital. Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton, was in charge of arrangements.

• Helen Elizabeth “Beth” Mahood Lilly, 92, of Princeton, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at her residence. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.

• Mrs. Helen Richards Testino, 82, of High Point,  N.C., formerly of Princeton, passed away Nov. 25, 2011 at Pennybyrn at Maryfield. Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.

•  Wilma Ruth Mays, 95, of Bent Mountain Road in Lerona, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at her residence. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.



Obituary



Edward “Buck” Lambert

BLUEFIELD — Edward “Buck” Lambert, 85, of Old Bluefield- Princeton Road, Bluefield, W.Va., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at his home.

Born March 23, 1926 in Simmons, W.Va., he was a son of the late Okey John Lambert and Maggie Fannie Fisher Lambert.  

Mr. Lambert was a lifelong resident of the Bluefield area and had worked for GTE for 43 years. He attended Community Baptist Church and liked horses and goats. Mr. Lambert was an old-fashioned gentleman who loved being outdoors, gardening, and going to the flea market.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Missouri Kitts Lambert in 1991; brothers, Michael Lambert, Billy Lambert and Fred Lambert; and one sister, Helen Lambert.

Survivors include two children, Anthony “Tony|” Lambert and his wife Kathy of Bluefield, and Barbara Ann Martin and her husband Kevin of North Tazewell, Va.; one brother, Ralph Lambert of Princeton, W.Va.; two sister, Ruth Morgan and Louise Dangerfield, both of Bluefield; three grandchildren, Travis Edward Lambert, Logan Duane Martin and Bo Anthony Lambert; two stepgrandchildren, Kelly Jarrell and Laken Jarrell; special companion, Evelyn Comer; and several nieces and nephews.  

The family received friends at Mercer Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Skaggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where Travis Lambert, Logan Martin, Bo Lambert, Jason Lambert, Alex Lambert and Jamie Lambert will serve as pallbearers.
