BRISTOL, Va. —
Princeton finished the season with a win.
The Rays banged out five extra base hits, including a home run, triple and three doubles, defeating Bristol 8-4 in the season finale for both teams on Friday in front of 917 spectators at DeVault Stadium.
Johnny Eeirman had two hits, including a triple and double, while Hunter Lockwood homered, drove in two runs and scored twice. David Garcia had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Travis Flores contributed a double, single and scored two runs, while Yoel Araujo scored twice for the Rays.
Lockwood collected his ninth home run of the season with a two-run shot in the ninth.
Oscar Armenta picked up the win in relief of Jacob Faria, while Jorge Rodriguez collected the save.
Bristol, which finished with a league-worst 20-45 record, was paced by Trey Michalczewski with three hits, including a triple, while Patrick Palmeiro had a pair of doubles. Zach Stoner also had two hits for the White Sox.
Yelmison Peralta, the second of four Bristol pitchers, was saddled with the loss.
Princeton finished with a 25-43 record, while Bristol dropped to 20-45.
