The P-Rays are coming to town

The 2008 Princeton Rays professional baseball team will arrive at Princeton’s Hunnicutt Field Friday between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The team will fly from Tampa, Fla., and land at the Raleigh-Durahm, N.C. Airport at 2 p.m. Rays will travel then to Princeton by bus with a meal stop en route.

The team does welcome and encourage fans who would like to come out and greet the bus arrival.

The team’s pre-season workouts are open to the public and will be as follows: Saturday at 5:45 p.m., Sunday at 10 a.m. Monday will include an evening/night workout with a starting time to be determined.

Also, they will have a public Meet the P-Rays session from 5 p.m. to 5:45 on Saturday. At that time, fans will be permitted to come onto the field and chat with the 2008 P-Rays.
