Greetings. I am writing this letter to you in regards to the unbelievable help that was given on a Sunday from a local business in your community. Here is the story that transpired on Thanksgiving weekend.
“My wife, daughter (who is 9 years old), brother and his 5-year-old boy were in transit back from Lynchburg, Va., when our SUV experienced a mechanical problem on Interstate 77, northbound. Being mechanically inclined, I realized the fuel pump was going bad. We had just made it through the the two tunnels and the SUV was not going to make it, so we pulled over at Exit 9 Princeton.
After talking to a few locals, nobody had any advice where we could get help on a Sunday, let alone a holiday weekend. Driving through the town, I had noticed a large trucking company with its garage door open and decided to pull in and ask for advice.
Mr. Graham was working on one of his many trucks with Louis, one of his employees, and they offered to pull our SUV into their garage and change the fuel pump. This is no small feat. The gas tank had to be dropped out of the vehicle and replaced. Louis went above and beyond, along with Frankie Graham. We were on the road in a few hours and made it home back to Michigan by 2 a.m. Thank God.
This, in my opinion, goes above and beyond. We cannot give enough gratitude to Graham Trucking for their kindness that they had given me and my family to help us get home. I would love to see something in the Princeton Times to express our gratitude. Thanks again for help in this matter.
