JAN. 4

NOISE DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a noise disturbance on Dearborn Avenue at 1:07 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers received reports of a suspicious person on South Mercer Street at 2 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

THEFT: Officers received reports of a theft on South Mercer Street at 9:22 a.m. Officers advised complainants that the theft was already under investigation.

ILLEGAL PARKING: Officers received two reports of an illegally parked vehicle on East Cumberland Road at 11:14 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options but reported the vehicle was legally parked.

DRUG ACTIVITY: Officers received reports of possible drug activity on Dearborn Avenue at 1:45 p.m. Officers brought out the K-9 unit. No further information was given.

THEFT: Officers received reports of  theft on Penmar Avenue at 2:37 p.m. Officers reported the money was returned and advised complainants of their options.



JAN. 5

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers received reports of a suspicious person on East Cumberland Road at 6:52 a.m. Officers reported the person was transported to Bluefield Regional Medical Center by the Bluefield Rescue Squad.

DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Highland Avenue at 9:14 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and allowed the subjects to retrieve their property.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Officers received reports of a suspicious vehicle on East Cumberland Road at 9:53 a.m. Officers reported the male subject in the vehicle had pulled over to take a nap.

ANIMAL CRUELTY: Officers received reports of cruelty to animals on Johnson Street at 11:34 a.m. Animal Control Officer Randall Thompson issued a warning for no shots or tags and filed an animal control report.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle collision with injuries on Frederick Street at 10:55 p.m. Officers filed a crash report.

FIGHT: Officers received reports of a fight on Lynn Street at 4:51 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

FIGHT: Officers received reports of a fight on College Avenue at 4:54 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

LEAVING THE SCENE: Officers received reports of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on Princeton Avenue at 2:54 p.m. Officers filed a crash complaint report.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Bluefield Avenue at 3:58 p.m. Officers filed a crash complaint report.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Bland Street at 4:50 p.m. Officers filed a crash complaint report.

THEFT: Officers received reports of a stolen cell phone on East Cumberland Road at 5:17 p.m. Officers filed an offense report.

ASSAULT: Officers received reports of an assault on Old Princeton Road at 5:47 p.m. Officers transported one male subject to the station and have a report pending.
