SEPT. 28



MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a power line down on Bluefield Avenue at 5:28 a.m. Officers reported a single-vehicle hit and snapped the pole. Officers filed a crash report.



BURGLARY: Officers received reports of a burglary on Third Street at 6:29 a.m. Officers filed an offense report.



MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Thorn Street at 9:49 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and reported the owner did not wish to have police involvement.



DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on South Mercer Street at 1:20 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.



TOBACCO: Officers received reports of a tobacco violation on West Cumberland Road at 1:36 p.m. Officers issued a citation.



UNWANTED PERSON: Officers received reports of an unwanted person on Greenbrier Street at 4:36 p.m. Officers transported the evicted individual from the area.



HARASSMENT: Officers received reports of harassment on Hill Avenue at 8:39 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.



DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Bland Street at 11:08 p.m. Officers said the individuals claimed they were having “a car show” and advised them of their options.



FIGHT: Officers received reports of a fight on Bland Street at 11:37 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on College Avenue at 1:09 a.m. Officers filed a complaint report.



FIGHT: Officers received reports of a fight on East Cumberland Road at 1:50 a.m. Officers filed an offense report.



NOISE DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of  a noise disturbance on Mulberry Street at 3:38 a.m. Officers filed an offense report and arrested one male subject and one female subject.



STRAY: Officers received reports of a stray animal on Clark Street at 9:50 a.m. Animal Control Officer Randall Thompson filed an animal control report and transported the animal to the Mercer County Animal Shelter.



ILLEGAL PARKING: Officers received reports of illegal parking on Elwood Street at 3:30 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and reported the driver moved the vehicle.



GUN SHOT: Officers received reports of a gun shot victim on Cherry Street at 6:36 p.m. Officers reported the victim said the shot was accidental and self-inflicted.



ASSAULT: Officers received reports of an assault on Bluefield Avenue at 7:13 p.m. Officers filed an offense report.



TRESPASSING: Officers received reports of trespassing on Tazewell Avenue at 8:48 p.m. Officers advised the complainant of their options and issued a trespassing notice.



DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Union Street at 11:46 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

VANDALISM: Officers received reports of vandalism to a vehicle on East Wayne Street at 11:20 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.



FOUR WHEELERS: Officers received reports of four wheelers on Rockbridge Street at 11:59 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.



ANIMAL CRUELTY: Officers received reports of cruelty to animals on Bluemont Drive at 5:09 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and requested extra patrol in the area.



SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers received reports of a suspicious person on Frederick Street at 5:39 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.



BURGLARY: Officers received reports of a burglary on East Cumberland Road at 5:46 p.m. Officers filed an offense report.



HARASSMENT: Officers received reports of harassment on Bluefield Avenue at 5:51 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.



SHOPLIFTER: Officers received reports of a shoplifter on Bluefield Avenue at 6:01 p.m. Officers reported the individual said he did not steal any meat and advised complainants of their options.



FOUR WHEELERS: Officers received reports of four wheelers on West Cumberland Road at 10:57 p.m. Officers issued a citation.
