BLUEFIELD — MERCER SHERIFF

Aug. 16

DOMESTIC BATTERY:

During a detail at Mercer

Mall, Maj. D.B. Bailey

responded to a fight near

Macado's. Upon arrival, the

officer located a male subject

attempting to leave the

scene. The male subject was

detained. The officer spoke

to a female subject who

reported the male subject

had attempted to use force to

get her to ride with him.

Tremayne Lee, 31, of

Bluefield, was arrested.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: A

female subject reported to

Dep. C.K. Lester that a male

subject had struck her and

her son and refused to let

them leave a car they were

traveling in.

PETIT LARCENY: A male

subject reported another

male subject had taken a

piece of steel from his property.

Aug. 18

LEAVING THE SCENE

(PROPERTY DAMAGE);

DRIVING SUSPENDED

FOR MISCELLANEOUS;

JOY RIDING; RECKLESS

DRIVING: Dep. C.K. Lester

responded to Pocosin Road

near W.Va. Route 10 in reference

to a vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, the officer

located a female subject

lying beside of a crashed

vehicle. The officer observed

the odor of alcohol coming

from the female. Allegedly,

the female became abusive

toward emergency workers

on scene. Laresa Reynolds,

34, of Rock, was arrested.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:

A male subject

reported damage to his

retaining wall on Old

Lashmeet Road.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:

A male subject reported

a tree on his property on

Quailwood Drive had been

struck by a vehicle and

knocked down.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:

Two male subjects

reported damage to their

vehicles on Old Athens Road

to Dep. C.K. Lester and G.C.

Paitsel.

Aug. 19

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:

A male subject reported

damage to his vehicle

which was parked on Old

Bramwell Road.

Aug. 20

SHOPLIFTING: Dep. K.M.

Saddler and M.S. Horn

responded to Walmart on

Greasy Ridge Road in reference

to fleeing shoplifters.

Horn located a vehicle

matching the description of

the vehicle that two subjects

had fled in. The two allegedly

took a quarter mile to stop

the vehicle. After getting permission

to search the vehicle,

the passenger allegedly

admitted to stealing pieces of

xBox paraphernalia from

Walmart. Nathan Puckett,

25, of Bluefield, Va., was

arrested. Shannon Harrison

was cited for failure to stop

for a police vehicle and

released.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE:

Dep. J. Parks responded to

Buckeye Hollow Road to

assist a home confinement

officer. The home confinement

officer reported finding

a male subject under the

influence of drugs. The home

confinement officer pointed

out a bag of pills on a table.

The male subject reported

that he hadn't done anything

wrong "everyone carries that

stuff around." The male subject

allegedly identified the

pills as neurotin and clonapin.

The male subject

claimed the pills were helping

him through an addiction.

The officer arrested Barry

White, 37, of Green Valley.

LEAVING THE SCENE

(PROPERTY DAMAGE): A

female subject reported her

car had been sideswiped by

another vehicle that didn't

stop.

Aug. 21

BURGLARY; PETIT LARCENY:

A male subject living

on Pocosin Fork Road

reported his television had

been stolen.
