BLUEFIELD — TAZEWELL SHERIFF

Between the dates of April 20, 2013 and April 26, 2013, the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office made 41 arrests, issued 16 traffic tickets, worked one traffic accident, responded to 185 calls, served 327 civil papers and supervised inmates who picked up 281 bags of trash.

BLUEFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

APRIL 30

INTOXICATION: Officers received reports of an intoxicated person on South Mercer Street at 12:53 p.m. Officers arrested one male subject and filed an offense report.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Henry Street at 1:50 p.m. Officers filed a crash report.

IMPROPER SHELTER: Officers received reports of improper shelter for an animal on Augusta Street at 2:50 p.m. Officers issued an summons

DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Union Street at 4:35 p.m. Officers filed an animal control report and issued two citations.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Princeton Avenue at 5:16 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Bland Street at 7:23 p.m. Officers filed a crash report.

DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Preston Street at 8:57 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

MAY 1

DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Union Street at 1 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and returned the juvenile home.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Officers received reports of a breaking and entering on Hill Avenue at 8:49 p.m. Officers reported the incident was actually a dispute between a landlord and tenant and advised complainants of their options.

UNWANTED PERSON: Officers received reports of an unwanted person on  Hill Avenue at 8:49 p.m. Officers filed an offense report and arrested one male subject.

DRUG ACTIVITY: Officers received reports of possible drug activity on Shenandoah Street at 8:20 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and advised there was no evidence of drug-related activity.

MAY 2

DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Cherry Street at 5:40 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

HARASSMENT: Officers received reports of harassment on Princeton Avenue at 9 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.

ILLEGAL PARKING: Officers received reports of an illegally parked vehicle on Spring Grove Avenue at 10:13 a.m. Officers filed a towed vehicle report and had the vehicle towed.

LEAVING THE SCENE: Officers received reports of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on Whitethorn Street at 10:24 a.m. Officers filed a crash complaint report.

SHOPLIFTER: Officers received reports of a shoplifter on East Cumberland Road at 5:52 p.m. Officers issued a summons.

ABANDONED VEHICLE: Officers received reports of an abandoned vehicle on East River Avenue at 7:55 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and reported the vehicle was not illegally parked or stolen and had valid registration.
