Jan. 24

SHOPLIFTING; TRESPASSING: Dep. E.P. Parks learned that two female shoplifters had allegedly fled Walmart located on Greasy Ridge Road despite being the store's loss prevention team trying to stop them. The officer located the females on Oakvale Road. Upon return to the store, the loss prevention people were able to positively identify the females as the ones who had fled. One of the females provided a receipt and gave an account of what happened. The officer also learned the other female had been banned from the store previously. Andreana Whitlow, 29, of Princeton, was cited.

WARRANTS: Officers located and arrested Ashley Graham, 27, of Lashmeet, on a warrant.

PETIT LARCENY: Officers received a report that two male subjects had removed two tires from King's Tire located on Airport Road.

GRAND LARCENY: A male subject reported his log splitter was missing from Old Athens Road.

Jan. 25

CAPIAS WARRANT (PROBATION REVOCATION); CAPIAS WARRANT (DOMESTIC ORDER OF PROTECTION); BODY ATTACHMENT ORDER: Dep. J.D. Gills and K.M. Saddler located and arrested Robert Whitlow II, 23, of Bluefield on warrants.

Jan. 26

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A male subject reported that another male had damaged his fence when he scraped a nearby road with his tractor.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE: Dep. J.E. Coulter located and arrested Stephen Lester, 30, of Bluefield. The officer noted that additional charges against the man are pending.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Dep. M.S. Horn responded to the Lilly Grove area just outside of Princeton. A female subject advised that a male subject had taken money from her purse and had left on foot. A short while later, the officer located a male running toward the home and positively identified him as the male involved in the incident. During a safety patdown of the male, the officer located a container with pills inside near where the subject had been standing. Brente Rose, 27, of Princeton, was arrested.

Jan. 27

BURGLARY (NIGHTTIME); CONSPIRE TO COMMIT A FELONY; PETIT LARCENY: A male subject reported to Dep. M.S. Horn that two male subjects had stolen one of his riffles. The male also reported that he had confronted the two and learned that they were with two other male subjects. The officer located the male subjects, all juveniles, in the Bluewell area. The officer also located a riffle matching the description of the one stolen near one of the males. The officers transported them to the Sam Perdue Juvenile Detention Center for holding. The officer later learned one of the males had a warrant for escaping state custody.

Jan. 28

BREAKING AND ENTERING TO AN AUTO; PETIT LARCENY: A male subject reported that someone had broken into his truck parked at Cinema 8 at Mercer Mall. Several items were reported missing.
