Dec. 27

PHONE HARASSMENT; DEATH THREATS: A male subject reported receiving multiple death threats via text message.

Dec. 28

BATTERY; DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE; ASSAULT ON AN OFFICER: Sgt. G.W. Woods and Dep. A.M. Ballard responded to the Exxon on Ambrose Lane near Princeton. A male subject, the complainant and victim, reported that he was struck by another male at Southern X-Posure. The complainant advised the officers that the male had been escorted out of the club. The officers located the male inside of his vehicle at a nearby gas station.  The officers noted the male appeared "unstable" and was unable to roll the windows down in his vehicle. The male registered a 0.155 on a portable breathalyzer test. The subject also allegedly attempted to kick one of the officers. Cecil Tipton, 38, of Clintwood, Va.

HIT AND RUN (PROPERTY): A male subject reported damage to his company vehicle in the parking lot of Comfort Inn near Princeton.

OBSTRUCTING; DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Dep. A.M. Ballard, G.C. Paitsel, and W.C. Wilborn responded to Hawthorne Lane in Oakland Terrace in reference to a male subject with a chain saw threatening to do harm to others. A male subject, the suspect's father, advised his son was highly intoxicated and in possession of a chain saw. The male was allegedly making threats to kill his parents, anyone else and then himself. The officers located the male and observed as he was attempting to put together a chain saw while drinking cans of beer "one right after another." The male allegedly denied homicidal intentions but allegedly admitted to suicidal thoughts. The officers noted that the male allegedly became belligerent trying to provoke a fight. The male allegedly became further belligerent when the officers told him they were there to help him. James Camo, 37, of Princeton, was arrested.

Dec. 29

BRANDISHING; DOMESTIC BATTERY; DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Cpl. S.A. Sommers responded to Warden Avenue in Bluefield in reference to a domestic disturbance and a male subject with a knife. Upon arrival, the officer located and arrested a male subject matching the description of the male involved. The victim, his former partner, advised that she had come home to find the male inside her home intoxicated. The male allegedly brandished a knife toward those present, threatened bodily harm to the them and pushed the female. Frank Walker, 37, of Bluefield, was arrested.

Dec. 30

BATTERY: A male subject reported he had been attacked by another male and a female after performing at Leo's Pub.

Dec. 31

MALICIOUS WOUNDING; ATTEMPT TO COMMIT FELONY: Deputies responded to Beeson Road in Lashmeet in reference to a male subject being shot twice. A female subject reported that her husband had been shot in the back twice by another male. The officers located the male and he advised that he had shot the other male because he had been stealing his stuff. The officers located the gun the male allegedly used after the male informed he had thrown the weapon on top of a nearby woodpile. David Cline, 32, of Lashmeet, was arrested.
