PRINCETON POLICE DEPARTMENT:
July 4
GRAND LARCENY: Officer D.A. Weatherly investigated a larceny case on Frederick Street. A bank deposit was left in a vehicle and the complainant’s son went to get a soda out of the car. He couldn’t remember if he locked it or not. The deposit was later found missing. There are no suspects.
NIGHTTIME BURGLARY: Officer D.A. Weatherly investigated a burglary at a residence in Amber Hills. A high definition television was taken, along with a DVD player and a tool box. The door was kicked in to gain entrance.
BATTERY: Officer J.D. Halsey investigated a battery case on Reynolds Avenue. The complainant said his uncle hit him numerous times with a beer bottle while at his uncle’s residence. The complainant was told to fill out an information sheet after alcohol was out of his system.
July 5
DRIVING REVOKED (THIRD OFFENSE): Officer E.T. Pugh performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with defective registration lights. 911 informed that the driver previously had his license revoked twice. Scott Blankenship, 47, of Princeton, was arrested for third offense driving revoked.
FAILURE TO PAY FOR GAS: Officer B.R. Woodard investigated when a male pumped $15 in a vehicle at the Little General and drove off without paying.
GRAND LARCENY: Officer E.T. Pugh investigated when a green duffel bag containing a wallet was taken from an office at Super Lube. There are no suspects at this time.
July 6
DOMESTIC BATTERY; VIOLATION OF DVP: Officer T.A. Gray investigated a domestic on Mercer Street. The complainant said the accused entered the apartment without permission, pushed her on the couch and struck her several times. She had a DVP out against the accused. Troy D. Winn, 19, of Bluefield, was arrested on the charges of domestic battery and violation of a DVP.
FAILURE TO APPEAR: Officer D.A. Weather arrested Christopher Shane Pendergrass, 20, of Bluefield, on a failure to appear warrant.
July 7
BURGLARY; PETIT LARCENY: Officer E.T. Pugh responded to a burglary at a Mercer Street apartment. The complainant said her laptop had been taken from an unlocked window. Only a few people knew the window was unlocked. She said a friend of her boyfriend’s called her cell phone to see if she was home after she left her residence.
