PRINCETON POLICE



April 29

• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sgt. W.J. Gilley investigated a destruction of property complaint on Harrison Street. The complainant found scratches on a vehicle rented from Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Gilley observed scratches on every panel except the roof. There are no suspects.

• FORGERY AND UTTERING: Ptlm. D.B. Whited investigated when a complainant filed a report regarding three forged checks returned from First Community Bank. The complainant said he didn’t write the checks and no one else had access to his checkbook except his daughter, who is a minor. The checks were written to local businesses. There are no known suspects at this time.

April 30

• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Ptlm. D.B. Whited and other officers investigated a destruction of property call at Scrubbies. The owner said someone removed the padlock and gained access to the business. Nothing appeared to be missing. The only damage was to the door. There are no known suspects.

May 1

• FAILURE TO APPEAR, DRIVING SUSPENDED, NO INSURANCE: Ptlm. D.B. Whited arrested Barbara H. Pennell, 48, of Princeton, on the charges of failure to appear, driving suspended and no insurance.

• FAILURE TO APPEAR: Ptlm. J.D. Halsey arrested Kevin D. Ball, 36, of Princeton, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

May 2

• SIMPLE POSSESSION: Ptlm. M.B. Gergely responded to Kroger when an unknown subject on a motorcycle appeared to purchase what appeared to be illegal narcotics. This was seen by an off-duty officer. She initiated a traffic stop and found four pills and a snort straw. Shane B. Bell, 29, of Princeton was arrested on the charge of simple possession.

May 3

• FAILURE TO APPEAR: Ptlm. M.B. Gergely responded to KFC to a report of an unruly customer. The manager said the man fled toward the Taco Bell parking lot. Gergely recognized the man’s vehicle as belonging to a subject with an outstanding warrant. The subject was located in a creek between First Century Bank and New People’s Bank. Wayne D. Croy, 38, of Princeton, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

May 4

• SIMPLE POSSESSION: Ptlm. J.D. Halsey received a call of a verbal altercation at the Knob Street Park. He spoke to the individuals who said their conversation got out of hand. He asked one subject if he had any narcotics because of his past drug use. The subject handed over marijuana. Wayne D. Croy, 38, of Princeton was cited on the charge of simple possession.
