Tommy Lee Belcher

BLUEFIELD — Tommy Lee Belcher, 63, of Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at his home. 

Tommy was born October 16, 1946 in Northfork, W.Va. He was the son of the late Sam and Mary Belcher. Currently, Tommy was self employed as a sheet rock finisher and the former owner and operator of BBC Coal Company.

Tommy was preceded in death by two sons, Terry L. and Thomas L. Belcher, Jr.; one brother, Ed Cheeks; three sisters, Ruby Keller, Harriet June Todd,  and Freda Mitchem.

Tommy will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Jean Mullins Belcher; one son, Anthony W. Belcher and wife Jennifer of Trinity, N.C.; two daughters, Cindy M. Carter and husband Larry of Moneta, Va., Dee D. Lankford and husband Tommy of Bluefield, W.Va.; two brothers, Charlie Cheeks and wife Inez of Bramwell, W.Va., Farlin Belcher and wife Pansy of Onsted, Mich.; two sisters, Hattie Hamilton and husband Odra of Morganton, N.C., Bonnie Messick and husband Dorsel of Ashley, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Taylor, Nick, Samantha, Chase, Brittany, T.J., and Ryan; also survived by Bridgette Collins and daughter Sarah.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. David Bailey will be officiating. Entombment service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerry Mullins, Mark Cole, Tony and Kenneth Belcher, Jeff Cheeks, Randy Hamilton, Kevin Mullins and Rodney Lucas. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Peoples Bank c/o Barbara Belcher, 1221 Stafford Drive, Princeton, WV 24740.
