LINDSIDE, W.Va. — Dorothy Church, 84, of HC 81 Lindside, W.Va., passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born May 16, 1928 in Kimball, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late William Harrison and Rebecca Milam Lane.
Mrs. Church was a homemaker, and a caregiver to young and old, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. She had attended the Church of God in Toledo, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Lane and Lacy Lane, and two sisters, Della Church and Icie Lane.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Boyd Church, of the home; three daughters Shirley Carman and husband Ben, of Corvallis, Mont., Carolyn Church, of Toledo, Ohio, and Debra Carr and husband Robert, of Henderson, Nev.; one son Boyd Church Jr., of Toledo, Ohio; six brothers Tracy Lane, of Montcalm, W.Va., Estil Lane and Powell Lane, both of Welch, W.Va.. Jessie Lane, of North Carolina, Cecil Lane and Carl Lane, both of Jesse, W.Va.; two sisters, Mary Lambert, of Jesse, W.Va. and Mandy Hall, of Pocahontas, Va.; four grandchildren, Ben Carman III, of Bountivul, Utah, Rebecca Church, of Toledo, Ohio, Robert Carr IV, of Las Vegas, Nev. and April Carr, of Henderson, Nev.; two great-grandchildren Keith Carman and Logan Carman both serving in the US Marines.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday March 8, 2013 at Wickline Funeral Home in Lindside with Pastor Fred Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel, W.Va..
