NASHVILLE, N.C. —
NASHVILLE, N.C. — Oscar “Doug” Willard Ellis, Jr., 61, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013. He was born February 15, 1952 in Nash County to the late, Oscar W. Ellis, Sr. and Grachel Eason Ellis. Oscar was owner of Nashville Welding & Machine Works, Inc. formerly of Nashville, N.C., now located in Wilson, N.C. Nashville Welding & Machine Works, Inc. opened in 1973 and has continued to operate for 40 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary D. Ellis of Nashville; son, Brian Lee Ellis and wife, Andrea; and grandson, Brandon of Nashville; sisters, Lois Jean Edwards and husband, Scotty, Teresa Yvonne Pearce and husband, Larry of Louisburg; nieces and nephews, Rodney Eason and wife, Kim of Nashville; Lee Williams and wife, Pam of Pikeville, Heather Adams and husband, Jeff of Four Oaks, Jessica Carliles, Alicia Pearce, both of Louisburg, Christopher, Mary, Sherry and Jerry Horne, all of Bluefield, W.Va.; sister-in law, Carolyn Horne of Bluefield, W.Va.; aunt, Clara Sells of Bluefield, W.Va.; great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Stephanie, Ryan, Beth, Aubrey, Jayla, Halle, Gage, Neleh, Canaan, Emily, Garrett, Brandon, Bradley and Dalton.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Scott and Rev. Gail Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
