PATASKALA, OHIO —
Ruby J. Albert, 89, of Pataskala, Ohio and formerly of West Virginia, departed this life Tuesday morning, Jan. 22, 2013 at her home in the devoted care of her family. Born in Princewick, Raleigh County, on Feb. 11, 1923, she was a daughter of the late George and Wanona Lilly Albert.
She grew up on Tallery Mountain in True, and attended the Pleasant View School. She was a graduate of Hinton High School in Hinton. A later move brought her to Princeton for a while until she moved to Pataskala, Ohio where she resided until her death. She was retired from AT&T.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris Albert; and her brothers, Ray and Fred Albert.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Howard W. and his wife Ruth Albert; her sisters, Iris Albert Fuller and Jean Albert Gill and her husband Loren; and eleven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted today (Saturday) at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, VA with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
