BLUFF CITY, Tenn. —
Coy Edward Pruitt, age 74, of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Coy was born November 4, 1938, in Coalwood, W.Va., a son of the late William Rudolf and Nettie Mae Miller Pruitt. He had lived in Bluff City for the past 37 years and had worked as a Truck Driver for Prime Transport.
Survivors include his daughter, Sherry Lynn Myers, of Birmingham, Ala.; son, Michael Edward Pruitt, of Bluefield, W.Va.; sister, Ellen Faye Burton, of Bluff City, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and special pet, “Peppy”.
The funeral service for Mr. Pruitt will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Burton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral service. The committal service and interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, in Glenwood Cemetery.
