DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Mabel Louise “Cline” Wood, 93, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Itmann and Beckley, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
Mabel was employed at the Consolidated Coal Company Stores, Mullens Hospital and Mountaineer Family Health Plan Beckley before moving to Daytona Beach. Mabel enjoyed gatherings of her family, holidays, going fishing and sitting on the beach.
In addition to her parents, WK and Ollie Dishner Cline of Princeton, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan “Red” Wood, in 1987; four brothers, George, Thomas, Rudy and WK Cline; and one sister, Snowie Veneri.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Norman “Woody” Wood and wife, Gail of Daytona Beach, Fla., Diane Boucher of Palm Coast, Fla. and Delena Sparks and husband, Frank of Lake Butler, Fla. ; and a special member of the family, Ronald Spencer of Coal City, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, September 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor William Spencer officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
