AVONDALE — Lillian Arline Bland, went to be with her Lord and Savior at her home on August 30, 2013, at the age of 85.  

Lillian was born in Iaeger, WV on October 4, 1927 a daughter of the late Deddy and Vennie Ward Mullins. She lived in the Union City community near Iaeger, WV, for 77 years. She was a member of the Bradshaw Church of GOD in Bradshaw, WV where she enjoyed Ladies Ministry each Tuesday. She worked in the church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed growing flowers and took great pride in her beautiful yard.

In addition to her parents, Deedy and Vennie Ward Mullins, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noblin Bland, two grandchildren, Sherry (Phillips) Robinson and Allen Wade Rambo, three brothers and three sisters.  

Lillian is lovingly remembered by her children, Sharon Rambo-Rowe and husband, Larry of Wise, VA and Richard "Dickie" Rambo and wife Ann of Max Meadows, VA; two grandchildren, Tammy (Ogle) Sturgill and husband Toby of Wise, VA and Richard Rambo and wife Brandy of Max Meadows, VA; sister, June Lambert of Roderfield, WV; two step grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, two special nephews, Jimmy Garlic, and Jackie Garlic and wife Judy of Iaeger, WV; special niece, Wanda Morgan of Ikes Fork, WV; special neighbor, Sharon Stowers; and special friend, Helen Hughes; and special caregivers, Jenny Evans, Kathy Stanley and Sandy Runyon.

Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV, Tuesday morning, September 3, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Services will be officiated by Pastor Thomas Fife and Pastor Bill Harmon. Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family.

Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is assisting the family.
