Pauline Anna Jennings Shrewsbury

Bluefield Daily Telegraph

LASHMEET — Born November 2, 1927 at Dott, she was the daughter of the late Luther Warren “Jack” Jennings and Lona Edith Haynes Jennings.

Pauline shared her life with her husband of 63 years, Carlos Von Shrewsbury, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2011.  She loved many things in life and lived to serve her Lord, family and friends. Her favorite Bible verse is Revelation 14:13, “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth:  Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”

Left to cherish her memories are her only child, Deborah Lynn Holt and husband Giles Edward, of Lashmeet; the joy of her life, her only grandchild, Stephen Edward Holt, of Kopperston, WV; a very special caregiver and loving friend, Peggy Matthews and her family who faithfully stood by her from the beginning to the end; friends Connie and Ronnie Stalmach and great care providers, Tracy McKenzie and Penny Pendleton.

Honoring her wishes, a graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Larry Akers officiating.  Friends may visit at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 22.

In lieu of flowers Pauline requested donations be made to Boys Town, P. O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK  73101-0036 or Amedisys Hospice, 3879 Maple Acres Road, Bluefield, WV  24701.

Arrangements by Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at
