MONCKS CORNER, S.C. —
Martha Jo Hogan McGlothlin, 75, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired assistant principal with the Berkeley County School District, died Thursday morning, October 10, 2013 at the Hospice Center of Charleston.
Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2013, in the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM this Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner, or to the Doc Williams SPCA.
Mrs. McGlothlin was born June 23, 1938, in Butts Hollow, VA, a daughter of Charles Leon Hogan and Margaret Watson Beard Hogan. She was a 1956 graduate of Beaver High School in Bluefield, WV, and received her BS in Education from Concord College in Athens, WV, in 1959. She was the widow of Charles Henry McGlothlin, Jr.
Surviving are, two sons, David McGlothlin and his wife, Debbie, of Timmonsville and Brian McGlothlin and his wife, Donna, of Moncks Corner; four grandchildren, Beth (Jeff) Riera, Stephanie (Andy) Jenkins, and Harrison and Paul McGlothlin; a great-grandson, Logan H. Riera; her mother-in-law, Fannie McGlothlin; and her brother-in-law, Joe McGlothlin and his wife, Gail.
