PRINCETON — Charles Edward Nelson, 76, of Princeton departed this life and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
He was born March 24, 1937 in Coalwood. He was the son of the late, Homer Nelson and Lena Mae Dempsey Nelson Dillon.
He was the owner and operator of Nelson's Body Shop in Princeton and a member of the Princeton Church of God on the Oakvale Road in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah and Kelly Nelson; two brothers-in-law; Eddie Farley and James McBride.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jewel Farley Nelson; sister, Betty Gillespie; five children, Karen Owen & husband, Sonny, Tammy Angle, and Vickie Bridges and husband, Dr. Michael, Misti Owen & husband, Eddie, and Chuck Nelson; 12 grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dorothy McBride.
He will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.
Out of respect for Charles and his family, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Heart Association in his honor.
