BANDY, Va. —
William “Rusty” VanDyke, age 68, of Bandy, VA found his peace in heaven Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Born April 13, 1945 in Tazewell, VA, he was a son of the late Robert and Beulah VanDyke.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry VanDyke and one sister, Joann Robinson.
He is survived by his children, Missy Stacy, Rickey VanDyke, Mickey VanDyke, and Kayla Chandler; he was “Popie” to his grandchildren, T.C. Stacy, Tanya Stacy, Triston Earls, Megan Earls, Brittney Baker, Morgen Freeman, Carmen Earls, Mason Murray, Bethany Baker, Ashley Lynn, Renee Baker, Emily Murray, Ian VanDyke, and Kaylem Chandler; great grandchildren, Camron Stacy and Lilly Hill; one sister, Helen Buck and husband, Gary; two brothers, Jim and wife, Lois and Danny VanDyke; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved very much.
Rusty was a man who loved with all his heart and made an impact on everyone he met. If you would like to come pay your respects to the family, there will be a memorial dinner Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2 PM in the fellowship hall at Tazewell Family Worship Center, 112 Faith St., Tazewell, VA 24651.
