Clarence Alfred Littlejohn, Sr., 86, of Bluefield, West Virginia, died Monday, September 30, 2013 in Princeton Health Care of Princeton, West Virginia. He was the youngest son born to the late Edward N. and Mary G. Littlejohn in Bluefield, West Virginia.
Clarence was a World War II and Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army and the Air Force Reserves. He was later employed with Norfolk and Western Railroad for over forty years. He was an avid gardener, excellent cook, and a great fisherman.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Sylvester and William Littlejohn, three sisters, Cidussia B. Irving, Mary Helen Sheppard and Dorothy L. Jackson.
He leaves to rejoice in his memory his wife, Alma Parker Littlejohn, Bluefield; three sons, Clarence A. Littlejohn Jr. (Iris), Princeton, West Virginia, Gerald L. Littlejohn, Groveland, Florida and Michael E. Littlejohn (Rosalind), Clermont, Florida; two daughters, Jackie L. Poe of Chesapeake, Virginia and Teresa O. Parson, Roanoke, Virginia; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; aunts, Hazel Byard, Rebecca Boyd, Alberta Woods and Billie Jean Woods; sisters-in-law, Lois Littlejohn and Pauline Littlejohn of Detroit, Michigan; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at G H Sinkford Memorial Chapel of Richardson Funeral Home in Bluefield at 12 noon on Saturday, with the Rev. Garry Moore officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Littlesburg Road.
