IAEGER – Regnia Lambert, 79, of Iaeger, W.Va., passed away, Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va., following a short illness.
Regnia was born June 22, 1934, in Whitehouse, Ky., a daughter of the late, Elias and Golden Price Dutton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sandy Huff Jesus Church at Sandy Huff near Iaeger, W.Va.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Sanford G. Lambert of the home; two daughters, Sanette Collins and husband, Clinton E. of Bluefield, W.Va., and Amy Stumbo and husband, Johnny of Iaeger, W.Va.; two sons, Douglas W. Lambert and wife, Betty of Bland, Va., and Granville J. Lambert and wife, Mary of Iaeger, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Nicole Walters of Blacksburg, Va., Clinton M. Collins of Bristol, Va., Douglas R. Lambert and Lavada Lambert, both of Tazewell, Va., Joshua Lambert, Chelsey Lambert, and Amber Blankenship all of Iaeger, W.Va., and Megan Rowe of Paynesville, W.Va.; eight great-grandchildren, Trae Walters of Blacksburg, Va., Charles Vanover, Rodney Lambert, Joshua Craig Lambert, Kaiden Lambert, Talan Blankenship, Brianna “B-Jade” Blankenship, and Ethen Blankenship, all of Iaeger, W.Va.; and a special friend Ruth Bishop of Ikes Fork, W.Va.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 12 noon with the Reverend Elzie Blankenship and the Reverend Ricky Ferrell officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, W.Va. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park at Bluewell, W.Va. Regnia’s grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Friday evening, September 27, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, W.Va.
