Ralph E. Hagerman, age 60, of the Shop Hollow community, War, WV, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Welch Emergency Hospital in Welch, WV. Born November 30, 1953 in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Earl E. Hagerman and Mary Muncy Hagerman. He was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Belinda Star Perkins; brother, Donald Allen Hagerman; and an infant brother.
He is survived by his wife, of forty-two years, Kelly Hagerman; one daughter, Sarah Beth Basso of Greeley, CO; three sons, Ray Edward Hagerman of Greeley, CO, Stuart Adam Hagerman and Eric Alan Hagerman both of War, WV; two sisters, Wanda Faye Hagerman of War, WV and Patricia Brewster of Shop Hollow, WV; four brothers, Steve Hagerman and wife, Brenda Darlene, Johnny Junior Hagerman, and wife, Patricia, Raymond Hagerman and wife, Debbie all of Shop Hollow, WV, and Earl Wayne Hagerman of Squire, WV; four grandchildren who loved him dearly, Nathaniel Edward Hagerman, Summer Ann Marie Hagerman both of Statesville, NC, Tristan Nash Woodard of Pocahontas, VA, and Kelly Nicole Basso of Greeley, CO; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the True Light Church of God in Jesus Name at Shop Hollow, WV with the Reverend Michael Muncy officiating. Burial will follow at Hartwell Cemetery at Hartwell, WV. Pallbearers will be Stuart Hagerman, Eric Hagerman, Jimmy Muncy, Datsie “Dockie” Harman, Chris Hagerman, and Lee Bartlett.
The family will receive friends at the church after 5 PM Friday.
